YPL is for players ages 8 to 18. Divisions are 8U, 10U, 12U, 14U and 18U, based on the player's age on the first day of the season. Kids play kids their own age.

All of them. Within each age division, players are grouped by skill using YPR, our 1.0–6.0 youth rating. Beginners play beginners. Advanced players play advanced players. Everyone gets competitive, fair matches.

Yes. No experience required. The season starts with a team placement session where coaches evaluate and place every player. New players start at a beginner YPR and build from there. Most kids are rallying within the first session.

Founding Season registration is $249 per player per season, or $199 at the Founding Player launch price. That includes the official YPL jersey, a permanent YPL Player ID and Player Passport, a YPR rating, a verified match record, the team placement session, the full 8-week schedule, certified officials and City Championship entry. Hoodies ($65) and caps ($30) are optional add-ons at checkout.

Full refund before the team placement session. 50% refund after placement and before Week 1. No refunds after the first match, except for documented medical reasons (season credit issued). If YPL cancels a season or a block, you get a full refund. Full details on our Refund Policy page.

Choose one block at registration. Block A: Wednesdays 4:30–9:30 PM and Saturdays 11:00 AM–4:00 PM. Block B: Wednesdays and Thursdays 4:00–6:30 PM and Saturdays and Sundays 11:00 AM–1:30 PM. Your player is scheduled for a match window inside the block, not the whole thing. Exact times come with the season schedule after placement.

A paddle, court shoes and a water bottle. YPL provides the jersey and the balls. If you don't have a paddle yet, loaner paddles are available at placement sessions and we'll point you to a good starter option.

You'll select a youth or adult size at registration (Youth S through Adult XL). Jerseys are handed out at the team placement session. If the size is wrong, swap it at your first match, no charge, while sizes last.

Yes. $25 off each additional player in the same household. Register all players in one checkout and the discount applies automatically.

Every YPL coach, City Director and on-court staff member passes a background check before working with players. Matches are run by certified officials. Every player has a signed waiver and medical consent on file. We enforce a code of conduct for players, coaches and parents.

Our founding facilities are indoor or covered, so weather rarely affects play. If a facility closes for weather or emergency, the session is rescheduled within the season window and you'll be notified by email and text.

YPR (Youth Pickleball Rating) is a number from 1.0 to 6.0 that describes how your player is playing right now. It updates after every verified match based on the opponent's strength, partner strength, the result and score, how recent the match is, and the level of competition. It's used to place teams fairly, seed championships and qualify players for Regionals and Nationals. Parents can see it on the Player Passport anytime.
